Fair Share Divorce
Michael Juilfs is a Certified Financial Planner® specializing in divorce planning. In focusing on pre and
post-divorce planning, he strives to help clients to take charge of their financial futures at this critical
time in their lives. Often, it is difficult to make sound, rational decisions during the emotional stress that accompanies divorce. Mr. Juilfs assists individuals, couples, attorneys and mediators in determining the most beneficial
division of assets; which assets to liquidate if necessary; possible tax consequences upon liquidation, reallocation
or change of ownership and the mechanics of transferring assets between spouses so as to avoid unnecessary taxes.
Mr. Juilfs has been recognized as an expert witness by the Maricopa County Superior Court regarding the
financial aspects of property division, cash flow, net worth and spousal maintenance.
Mr. Juilfs is the founder and owner of Fair Share Divorce. He has extensive experience in divorce analysis and planning.
Mr. Juilfs holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and Masters Degree in Business Administration. He is a Certified Financial Planner® a distinction awarded by the CFP Board of Standards. In addition, The Institute for Certified Divorce Financial Analysts has awarded him the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation. He is trained in the Collaborative Divorce process.
Mr. Juilfs teaches Financial Planning and Income Tax Planning to CFP® candidates as an instructor at Western International University. He is a member of the Greater Phoenix Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. Mr. Juilfs is a Charter Member and Treasurer of the Arizona Association of Collaborative Professionals.
In addition, Mr. Juilfs is President of the Arizona Chapter of the Institute of Certified Divorce Planners.
The experience of personally going through
divorce in Arizona led him to fully understand
the emotional stress and financial devastation
resulting from not understanding all of the options
available, the tax consequences of the division
of assets and not being fully informed and
prepared before making these decisions.
